Nash Dunnigan has worked as Art Director, Design Lead, and Designer for animated feature films for Blue Sky Studios since 2003. His feature credits include Robots, Ice Age 2: The Meltdown, Rio, Ice Age 3: Dawn of the Dinosaurs, Horton Hears a Who, Ice Age 4: Continental Drift, The Peanuts Movie, Spies in Disguise, and ongoing current development projects. Prior to that he worked at many New York based television animation studios as both a background design supervisor, background designer, and storyboard artist. His television credits include Venture Brothers, Disney’s Doug, 101 Dalmations the series, and Sabrina the Teenage Witch animated series. In 2000, he co-founded the New York based studio, Noodlesoup Productions, (later World Leaders Entertainment), and supervised design on their pilot show, Venture Brothers, before leaving to join Blue Sky Studios.
Nash graduated from VCU, Virginia Commonwealth University, in 1991, Magna Cum Laude, with a BFA degree in illustration and film.
In 2013, he was nominated for an Annie Award for Production Design, along with fellow designers, for their work on Ice Age 4 Continental Drift.
In 2019, he was inducted into the Academy of Motion Picture Sciences in recognition of his achievement in animated features and animated short films.
